April 18th, 2025 | Yesterday, 22 talented archers from Franklin County High School (FCHS) showcased their skills and determination at the state championship match. The event was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the spirit of teamwork that defines our Flyer archers.
From the very beginning, our archers demonstrated exceptional precision and focus. Each shot was a reflection of countless hours of practice and unwavering commitment to excellence. The competition was fierce, but our Flyers held their ground, competing with grace and sportsmanship.
Among the standout performances, Lillian Pentecost led the way with a remarkable score of 281 and a ten-count of 16. Her consistency and accuracy were truly inspiring. Denisha Dodge-Summerour and Eliza Pierce also delivered impressive performances, each scoring 280 with ten-counts of 14.
Angelica Benavides, Page Barker, and Sophia Mosley were among the other top performers, each contributing significantly to the team's overall success. Their scores and ten-counts highlighted their skill and determination, making them valuable members of the FCHS archery team.
The camaraderie and support among the archers were evident throughout the competition. They cheered for each other, shared tips, and celebrated each other's successes. This sense of unity and encouragement was a key factor in their outstanding performance.
As the day came to a close, the Flyers had not only represented FCHS well but had also set a high standard for future competitions. Their achievements at the state championship are a source of pride for the entire school community.
