Franklin County Schools (FCS) is proud to announce that two Franklin County High School (FCHS) alumni achieved a monumental milestone at the 99th National FFA Convention. Hayden Smoot and Emily Hensley received the prestigious American FFA Degree. This is the highest individual honor given by the National FFA Organization and is achieved by less than one percent of all FFA members.

To qualify for the American FFA Degree, members must demonstrate exceptional commitment to agriculture through extensive Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs, complete significant community service hours, and show outstanding academic and leadership achievements.

Both recipients continue to build on their strong foundation in agriculture. Hayden Smoot is employed at Cornerstone Farm Equipment in Frankfort, KY. Emily Hensley is advancing her agricultural education at Murray State University within the Hutson College of Agriculture.

Their accomplishment highlights the strength of Franklin County High School's agricultural education program and serves as an inspiring standard for future FFA leaders across the community. Great work, Flyers!
