Youth Services Center

The goal of the FCHS Youth Service Center is to remove non-academic barriers to education. To do so, the YSC can provide the following services:

  • School Supplies

  • Clothing Referrals

  • Food Assistance

  • Physical/Vision/Dental referrals

  • Teen Parent Assistance

  • Mental Health/Grief Counseling

  • The Sunshine Center

  • Cinderella's Closet (Prom Dresses)

  • Job Shadowing

  • Freshmen Orientation

  • Coats for Kids

Student Support Programs / Student Groups

Alateen - This group is open to all students that have loved ones who have battled addiction. It meets Thursdays from 3:30- 4:30 pm in the YSC.

Capital City Youth Coalition- This group is open to all students that wish to advocate for our community. It meets on Wednesdays from 3:30- 4:00 pm in the YSC and regularly takes service-learning trips in the community.

Girls Rock - This group is open to all young women that want to learn about empowerment and confidence. It meets on Tuesdays from 3:30- 4:30 pm in the YSC. 

Teen Parents- This group is a closed group for teen parents that wish to learn about healthy relationships, self-image, and parenting strategies. It meets on Tuesdays during the school day.

Guys Group - This group is a closed group for young men that are seeking a positive male role model. It meets on rotating Thursdays during the school day.
